Frequently asked questions.
Does Singhouse create karaoke tracks?
Yes. It separates vocals and accompaniment, creates synchronized lyric drafts, and gives you tools to correct the words and timing.
Is Singhouse a streaming service?
No. Singhouse is desktop karaoke software for your own music library. It does not provide a streaming catalog.
Where does my media live?
On systems you control. Singhouse does not host your music or karaoke library on project infrastructure.
Is Singhouse free?
Yes. Singhouse Core is free to download and use, and its source code is open under the GNU AGPL-3.0 licence. Singhouse Pro is an optional add-on for hosts and venues that want more.
What computer do I need?
A 64-bit Windows 11 PC, a Mac with Apple silicon running macOS 14 or later, or a 64-bit x86 Linux system. Preparing tracks is the demanding part; once a track is ready, running the show is light work.
What does Singhouse download on first launch?
Its processing runtime, plus the separation and transcription models you approve. Models come straight from their original publishers, and Singhouse asks before each download. It never downloads songs.
What is the difference between Core and Pro?
Core contains the complete local track-preparation and show foundation. Pro adds optional tools for hosts and venues with more involved workflows.
